Fusiwal B Cream 15 g contains Beclometasone (0.025% w/w) + Fusidic Acid (2% w/w). It belongs to the Steroidless topical antibiotic (Fusidane antibiotic) class of medicines.

How Fusiwal B Cream 15 g works

Fusidic acid is a topical antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by blocking the elongation factor (EF-G) involved in translation. This stops growth of susceptible bacteria and helps clear skin infection.

How to take Fusiwal B Cream 15 g

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer 2-3 times daily or as directed by a doctor. Use for the prescribed duration; avoid contact with eyes, mouth and open mucosa. Can be used with or without a light dressing if advised.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Fusiwal B Cream, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause a racing heart, marked tremor, headache and a fall in blood potassium. It is unlikely from skin use. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
