Glycerin Ip 12X20 g is used for dry, rough and cracked skin, chapped lips, minor skin irritation, skin dryness due to weather/soaps; as an emollient and skin protectant.

Glycerin Ip 12X20 g contains Glycerin IP 20 g (per tube). It belongs to the Humectant emollient class of medicines.
Glycerin is a humectant that attracts and retains water in the outer layer of the skin. It helps restore the skin barrier, improves hydration and softness, and protects against further dryness and cracking.
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to clean, dry affected area 1-3 times daily or as needed. Massage gently until absorbed. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; wash hands after use unless treating hands.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Glycerin Ip 12X20 g as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Glycerin Ip 12X20 g than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Glycerin Ip 12X20 g are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

External use only. Do not apply on deep wounds, severe burns, or infected/oozing skin unless advised by a doctor. Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation/allergy occurs or symptoms persist. Keep away from eyes; if contact occurs rinse with water. Use with caution in very sensitive skin.
No clinically significant drug interactions expected with topical glycerin; may increase penetration/irritation when used with other topical irritants (e.g., strong acids/retinoids) on the same area
Store at room temperature (below 25-30°C), away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep container tightly closed and protected from moisture/contamination.
