This medicine combines 4 active ingredients: Lanolin, Lidocaine, Menthol and Thymol. Lanolin holds water in the skin and restores the barrier that dry, damaged skin has lost. Lidocaine supports the care of a minor injury or wound. Menthol is applied to the skin over a painful area, where it produces a warming or cooling sensation and reduces local pain and inflammation. Thymol kills germs on the skin and in a wound, reducing the chance of infection.
How to take Hadensa Ointment
Apply a thin layer to the affected area as directed by a physician. For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and open wounds unless advised.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Missed dose and overdose
If you miss a dose
Take the missed dose of Hadensa as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

An overdose of this medicine is not a realistic risk from a moisturiser used on the skin. It is unlikely from external use. It is unlikely from skin use, but swallowing these preparations can be serious, particularly in children.
