How Hotliv Syrup works

Liver tonics typically contain hepatoprotective and choleretic ingredients that help protect liver cells from toxins and improve bile secretion. This may support digestion, appetite and normalization of liver enzymes in mild functional liver disorders.

How to take Hotliv Syrup

Oral syrup. Shake well before use. Take the prescribed dose after food using a measuring cup/spoon. Typical adult use is 5–10 mL 2–3 times daily; children only as advised by a doctor.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Hotliv as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Hotliv than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Hotliv Syrup

Most side effects of Hotliv are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• Nausea
• stomach upset
• diarrhoea
• abdominal discomfort
• allergic reactions (rash/itching)

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

Do not exceed recommended dose. Use with caution in pregnancy and breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor. If you have jaundice, persistent vomiting, severe abdominal pain, dark urine, or symptoms persist beyond a few days, seek medical advice. Patients with diabetes should check for sugar content in the syrup. Stop use and consult a doctor if allergy occurs.

Interactions with other medicines

May interact with other hepatoprotective/ayurvedic/herbal products; possible additive effects with alcohol and other medicines affecting the liver. If taking anticoagulants, antidiabetics, antiepileptics or anti-TB drugs, consult a doctor before use (exact interactions depend on composition).

How to store Hotliv Syrup

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep the bottle tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
