How Iconac Spt works

Iconac Spt Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Aceclofenac, Paracetamol, and Serratiopeptidase. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and Paracetamol is an antipyretic (fever reducer). They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause pain and fever. Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme that works by breaking down abnormal proteins at the site of inflammation and helps support healing.

How to take Iconac Spt

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Iconac Spt Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Iconac Spt Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Iconac Spt than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Iconac Spt

Most side effects of Iconac Spt are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

How to store Iconac Spt

Store Iconac Spt below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Expert advice for Iconac Spt

Do not take Iconac Spt Tablet with other medicines containing paracetamol (acetaminophen), such as some cold or fever medicines, unless advised by your doctor. Avoid combining Iconac Spt Tablet with other NSAID painkillers unless your doctor recommends it. Avoid alcohol while taking Iconac Spt Tablet, as it may increase stomach irritation and the risk of liver damage. Iconac Spt Tablet may cause dizziness or drowsiness, so avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you. Stay well hydrated while using Iconac Spt Tablet, as dehydration may increase the risk of kidney-related side effects. Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, heart disease, asthma, stomach ulcers, or uncontrolled high blood pressure before taking Iconac Spt Tablet. Seek urgent medical attention if you notice black stools, vomiting blood, severe stomach pain, or unusual bruising. Stop taking Iconac Spt Tablet and seek medical help if you develop rash, swelling of the face, or breathing difficulty. Use Iconac Spt Tablet only for the duration prescribed, and consult your doctor if pain, swelling, or fever persists despite treatment. Tell your doctor if you are taking blood thinners, steroids, or certain antidepressants that may increase bleeding risk.
