Treatment of Cancer Treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis Treatment of Psoriasis Treatment of Crohn’s disease
Imutrex 7.5 Tablet inhibits enzymes (dihydrofolate reductase), prevents cell division, and leads to anti-inflammatory actions. Imutrex 7.5 Tablet kills cancer cells by preventing them from making DNA. Imutrex 7.5 Tablet can help control psoriasis by retarding the production of skin cells and suppressing inflammation. Imutrex 7.5 Tablet may treat rheumatoid arthritis by suppressing the immune system, preventing it from attacking the body's cells. This helps reduce the inflammation that causes swollen and stiff joints in rheumatoid arthritis or damage to the intestine in Crohn's disease.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Imutrex 7.5 Tablet may be taken with or without food.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Imutrex 7.5 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Taking more Imutrex than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Imutrex are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Imutrex. Some combinations can change how Imutrex works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Imutrex below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
Drink plenty of liquids to stay hydrated while taking this medication. Take folic acid if advised by your doctor. This will help lessen the side effects of this medicine. Imutrex 7.5 Tablet may take from weeks to months for Imutrex 7.5 Tablet to work. Keep taking the medication as prescribed. Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to monitor your kidney function, liver function, and the level of blood cells in your blood. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine, as it may increase the risk of side effects.
