Expectorant cough syrups work by thinning and loosening thick mucus in the airways so it can be coughed out more easily. This reduces chest congestion and makes breathing more comfortable.
Shake well before use. Measure dose with a cup/spoon; take as advised by a doctor/pharmacist. Generally taken after food and with adequate water; do not exceed recommended dose.

Do not use in children below the recommended age on label without medical advice. Use with caution in asthma, chronic cough, liver/kidney disease, and in patients with persistent cough >1 week, fever, rash or breathing difficulty (seek medical care). Avoid driving if it causes dizziness/drowsiness. Check label for sugar/alcohol content if diabetic or alcohol-sensitive. Stop and seek help if allergic reactions occur.
