Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting cell wall synthesis. Clavulanic acid inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria, thereby protecting amoxicillin and expanding its antibacterial spectrum.
Tablet is usually taken orally with food to reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole with water at evenly spaced times and complete the full prescribed course; dose and duration as advised by a doctor.
