Relief of ear pain (otalgia) associated with minor ear conditions such as otitis externa or inflammation; used as a topical analgesic in the ear when prescribed.
Ear drops containing a local anaesthetic numb the ear canal skin by blocking sodium channels in nerves, reducing pain signals. If additional ingredients are present (e.g., antiseptic/antibiotic), they may reduce infection-causing germs, but the exact mechanism depends on the final composition.
For otic (ear) use only. Use the number of drops and frequency as prescribed. Warm the bottle in the hands, tilt head/lie with affected ear up, instill drops without touching the dropper tip, and keep the ear up for a few minutes. Do not use in the eye or by mouth; avoid use with suspected/known eardrum perforation unless advised by a doctor.

Do not use if you have a known allergy to local anaesthetics (e.g., lidocaine) or any ingredient. Avoid use if you have a perforated eardrum, ear tubes (grommets), or ear discharge unless a doctor has advised it. Stop and seek medical advice if pain worsens, fever develops, swelling spreads, dizziness occurs, or symptoms persist. Keep dropper tip clean to prevent contamination; use with caution in children and in pregnancy/breastfeeding—consult doctor.
