How Lulibet Shampoo works

LULIbet Shampoo is a combination of three medicines : Luliconazole, Salicylic Acid, and Zinc pyrithione. Luliconazole and Zinc pyrithione are antifungal medications that treat fungal infections. Luliconazole works by killing the fungi on the skin by destroying their cell membrane. Zinc pyrithione makes fungal cells to absorb copper which in turn inactivates protein mechanisms in cells. This is how it stops fungal growth. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medication. It reduces oil production in the skin, replenishes the skin, and it also keeps your pores open.

It can cause severe irritation when far too much cream is applied; an oral retinoid taken in excess can cause headache, vomiting and liver injury. It can cause a fall in blood pressure and a racing heart when far too much is applied to the skin. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Warnings and precautions

Keep applying for the full period your doctor stated, usually two to four weeks, and for a week or two after the rash has cleared. Stopping when it looks better is why ringworm keeps coming back. Not for use on inflamed, broken or sunburnt scalp.

Interactions with other medicines

No significant interactions are expected from preparations used on the skin. Do not combine with other peeling agents or with waxing and harsh scrubs. Oral retinoids must not be combined with tetracycline antibiotics. Avoid applying other scalp products at the same time of day unless advised.

To help prevent dandruff from returning, you can continue to use LULIbet Shampoo once every 1-2 weeks or as prescribed by the doctor. Drink plenty of water as by hydrating your body, you also reduce the number of flakes on your scalp, thereby decreasing the appearance of dandruff. Avoid scratching your scalp as it will only aggravate dandruff. Make sure to cover your head with a hat or a scarf whenever you step out.
