Momtas-F Cream is a combination of two medicines: Mometasone and Fusidic Acid, which treats skin infections. Mometasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Fusidic Acid is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by the bacteria to carry out vital functions.

How to take Momtas Cream 10 g

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Momtas-F Cream, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

An overdose of this medicine can suppress the body's own steroid production when it is used for a long time over large areas, especially in children. It is unlikely from skin use. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

A steroid on ringworm, impetigo or herpes makes the infection worse while hiding it. Do not use leftover cream on a new rash, and never pass it to someone else. Stop and see your doctor if the area becomes more painful, weepy or crusted. Use it for the short course prescribed, usually about a week. Prolonged use of a topical antibiotic breeds resistant bacteria. See a doctor if the area becomes more red, swollen, painful or spreads, or if you develop a fever — a spreading skin infection needs tablets. Clean the area gently before each application. Do not use it on large raw areas or burns unless your doctor has said to.

Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Close the cap tightly after each use. Keep out of the reach of children.

Momtas-F Cream helps treat inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis that are also infected by bacteria. Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. It may cause minor burning, stinging, or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the cream in these areas. Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects. Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after two weeks of treatment. Do not use it for longer than prescribed as prolonged or repeated use can cause the skin to become over-sensitive to the medicine and may also result in the bacteria becoming resistant to the antibiotic.
