Motidom P Tablet

Motidom P Tablet is used in the treatment of migraine.

In Nausea

Motidom P blocks the signals to the brain's vomiting centre, settling the nausea of illness, travel, surgery or chemotherapy.

In Vomiting

Motidom P stops vomiting so that fluids and other medicines stay down, preventing the dehydration that repeated vomiting causes.

In Bloating

Motidom P helps the stomach empty more quickly, easing the bloating and early fullness that follow a meal.

In Slow stomach emptying

Motidom P strengthens the stomach's movements so food passes through more normally, relieving nausea, fullness and reflux.

In Fever

Motidom P brings a raised temperature down by acting on the part of the brain that controls body heat, easing the chills, aches and discomfort that come with a fever.

In Headache

Motidom P relieves a headache by blocking the chemical messengers in the brain that signal pain, usually within the hour.

In Body ache

Motidom P eases the generalised aching of viral illness, overexertion or fever so you can rest and move more comfortably.

In Mild to moderate pain

Motidom P relieves everyday pain such as toothache, period pain and sprains. It is gentle on the stomach, which is why it is usually the first painkiller a doctor suggests.

Alcohol

Taking Domperidone+Paracetamol/Acetaminophen with alcohol can cause liver damage.

PregnancyUNSAFE

Motidom P Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.<br>Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feedingSAFE

Motidom P Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.

DrivingCAUTION

May cause drowsiness or affect your concentration. Do not drive until you know how it affects you.

KidneyCAUTION

Motidom P Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Motidom P Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

LiverUNSAFE

Motidom P Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Motidom P Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.<br>However, the use of Motidom P Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

• Take it shortly before meals for bloating and early fullness.
• Sip fluids frequently in small amounts, and use oral rehydration salts if you have been vomiting.
• Take the lowest dose that works, and leave the stated gap between doses.
• Seek help immediately after a suspected overdose, even if you feel completely well.
• Treatment works best when it is early.
