  • Nerve pain
  • Diabetic neuropathy
  • Pain after shingles

  • Epilepsy

Benefits of Neugaba 75 mg

In Nerve pain
Neugaba calms over-active nerves so the burning, shooting and electric-shock pains of nerve damage ease. Relief builds over one to two weeks.
In Diabetic neuropathy
Neugaba eases the burning, tingling and numbness in the feet and hands caused by diabetic nerve damage, improving sleep and comfort.
In Pain after shingles
Neugaba relieves the persistent, sensitive pain that can linger in the skin after a shingles rash has healed.
In Fibromyalgia
Neugaba reduces the widespread pain and improves the sleep disturbance of fibromyalgia.
In Epilepsy
Neugaba steadies the electrical activity in the brain, reducing how often seizures occur when taken alongside other anti-epileptic medicines.

How Neugaba 75 mg works

Pregabalin calms the over-active nerve signals that cause burning, shooting and tingling pain.

How to take Neugaba 75 mg

Use this medicine as your doctor has directed. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause deep drowsiness, confusion, unsteadiness and slowed breathing, especially with an opioid or alcohol. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Side effects of Neugaba 75 mg

Most side effects of Neugaba are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. The ones reported most often are:

  • Drowsiness
  • Dizziness
  • Swelling of the ankles and feet
  • Weight gain
  • Blurred vision
  • Unsteadiness

Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

This medicine causes drowsiness and unsteadiness, particularly when you start it or the dose goes up. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you. Never stop it suddenly. Stopping abruptly can cause anxiety, sleeplessness, sweating and, in people taking it for epilepsy, fits. Your doctor will taper it. Tell your doctor about any change in mood or any thoughts of harming yourself. The dose is usually built up slowly from a low starting point — follow the schedule your doctor gave you rather than jumping to the full dose. Pregabalin comes under Schedule H1 from 16 November 2026 and will then need a prescription and a pharmacy register entry.

Do not take Neugaba if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack.

Interactions with other medicines

Opioid painkillers, alcohol, sleeping tablets and antihistamines all add to the drowsiness, and the combination with opioids can dangerously slow breathing. Antacids reduce the absorption of gabapentin — separate them by a couple of hours.

How to store Neugaba 75 mg

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.

Quick tips for Neugaba 75 mg

  • Take the larger part of the dose at night if drowsiness is a problem.
  • Rise slowly from sitting or lying, especially in the first weeks.
  • Keep your review appointment so the dose can be adjusted to the lowest that controls your pain.
