Composition of Nurokind G Tablet

Nurokind G Tablet contains Methylcobalamin (500mcg) + Gabapentin (300mg). It belongs to the Vitamin B12 analogue + Antioxidant (alpha lipoic acid) + B-complex vitamins class of medicines.

How Nurokind G Tablet works

Methylcobalamin supports myelin formation and nerve repair and helps reduce symptoms of B12 deficiency. Alpha lipoic acid acts as an antioxidant that reduces oxidative stress in nerves and may improve nerve conduction. Pyridoxine and folic acid aid neurotransmitter synthesis and red blood cell formation, supporting nerve function and correcting deficiencies.

How to take Nurokind G Tablet

Tablet to be taken orally as advised by the doctor, usually once daily. Can be taken with or after food to reduce stomach upset; swallow whole with water. Do not exceed the prescribed dose and continue for the duration advised.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine is unlikely to cause serious harm, because the body passes surplus B vitamins out in the urine. It can cause deep drowsiness, confusion, unsteadiness and slowed breathing, especially with an opioid or alcohol. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Warnings and precautions

Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney disease, history of allergy to B-vitamins/ALA, or if you are on multiple medicines for diabetes. Alpha lipoic acid may lower blood sugar—monitor glucose and watch for symptoms of hypoglycemia. High-dose/long-term pyridoxine may rarely cause sensory neuropathy; use only as directed. Not intended to replace treatment for severe anemia or underlying causes unless evaluated by a clinician.

Interactions with other medicines

Antidiabetic medicines/insulin (risk of hypoglycemia with alpha lipoic acid), levodopa without carbidopa (vitamin B6 may reduce effect), chloramphenicol (may blunt hematologic response to B12), metformin and proton pump inhibitors/H2 blockers (can worsen B12 deficiency), alcohol (may worsen neuropathy and reduce vitamin absorption)

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), protected from light and moisture. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.
