How Omnacefpo 50 mg DS 30 ml works

Cefpodoxime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis (binding to penicillin-binding proteins), leading to bacterial cell death. It is active against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

How to take Omnacefpo 50 mg DS 30 ml

Oral dry syrup: reconstitute with boiled and cooled water up to the marked level, shake well. Give the prescribed dose using a measuring cup/syringe, preferably with food. Shake well before each dose and complete the full course even if symptoms improve.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

How to store Omnacefpo 50 mg DS 30 ml

Store dry powder at room temperature below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. After reconstitution, store in a refrigerator (2–8°C) and use within 14 days (or as per label); do not freeze. Keep bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.

Stopping it early may make the infection harder to treat. Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Omnacefpo 50mg Tablet DT as it may cause increased side effects. Discontinue Omnacefpo 50mg Tablet DT and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
