Uses of Panzis D Capsule

How Panzis D Capsule works

This is typically a combination of a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) with a prokinetic/antiemetic. The PPI reduces stomach acid production, while the prokinetic increases gastric motility and reduces nausea by blocking dopamine receptors in the gut/brain.

How to take Panzis D Capsule

Capsule: take as advised by the doctor, usually 30 minutes before food (commonly before breakfast). Swallow whole with water; do not crush or open unless instructed.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Panzis D as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Panzis D than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Panzis D Capsule

Most side effects of Panzis D are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• Headache
• diarrhoea
• abdominal pain
• nausea
• flatulence
• dizziness
• dry mouth
• constipation

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Safety advice for Panzis D Capsule

Warnings and precautions

Do not use without medical advice if you have severe liver disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, intestinal obstruction/perforation, or a history of prolactin-dependent tumors. Long-term PPI use may increase risk of low magnesium/vitamin B12 deficiency, bone fractures and gut infections. Seek medical help for alarm symptoms (blood in vomit/stool, unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting, difficulty swallowing). May cause dizziness—use caution while driving.

Interactions with other medicines

Warfarin/other anticoagulants, clopidogrel (reduced effect with some PPIs), digoxin, methotrexate (high dose), ketoconazole/itraconazole (reduced absorption), atazanavir/rilpivirine (reduced levels), antipsychotics and other dopamine antagonists (increased side effects), QT-prolonging medicines

How to store Panzis D Capsule

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.
