Carboxymethylcellulose (1% w/v)
Dry eye syndrome, ocular irritation, burning, grittiness and discomfort due to dryness; lubrication and protection of the eye surface
Carboxymethylcellulose is a lubricating polymer that supplements the tear film and increases viscosity on the ocular surface. It helps retain moisture, reduces friction during blinking, and provides temporary relief from dryness and irritation.
For ophthalmic use only. Instil 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed or as directed by a doctor. Can be used with or without contact lenses as per label; if using other eye medicines, keep a 10–15 minute gap. Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Refresh Liquigel Eye Drop. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Stop use and consult a doctor if eye pain, vision changes, persistent redness/irritation or worsening symptoms occur. Do not use if seal is broken or solution changes colour/turns cloudy. Avoid contamination of the tip. If you wear contact lenses and irritation persists, remove lenses and seek advice. Use with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to carboxymethylcellulose or excipients.
