Uses of Salazar DS Tab 10S

Ulcerative colitis (induction and maintenance of remission), Crohn’s disease (colonic involvement; as prescribed), Rheumatoid arthritis (disease-modifying treatment)

How it works

Sulfasalazine reaches the colon where gut bacteria split it into 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA) and sulfapyridine. 5-ASA reduces intestinal inflammation, while sulfapyridine contributes to immunomodulatory/anti-inflammatory effects useful in rheumatoid arthritis.

Directions for use

Take as prescribed, usually after food with plenty of water. Swallow the delayed-release tablet whole; do not crush or chew. Maintain adequate hydration and follow the dosing schedule regularly.
