Levosalbutamol (as Levalbuterol) 1.25 mg per 2.5 mL respule (nebuliser solution)
Relief and prevention of bronchospasm in bronchial asthma, COPD (including chronic bronchitis and emphysema), and other conditions with reversible airway obstruction
Levosalbutamol is a selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist. It relaxes bronchial smooth muscle leading to bronchodilation and improved airflow, relieving wheeze and shortness of breath.
For inhalation via nebuliser only. Use the contents of one 2.5 mL transpule as prescribed (often diluted with normal saline if advised). Nebulise until the mist stops; do not swallow or inject. Can be used with or without food; follow doctor’s dosing schedule and technique.
Common side effects of SALBAIR NEB TRANSPULES 1.25 may include:
Use with caution in heart disease (arrhythmias, ischemic heart disease), hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and seizure disorders. May cause paradoxical bronchospasm—stop and seek medical help if breathing worsens. Overuse can worsen asthma control; seek review if needing frequent doses. Monitor potassium (risk of hypokalemia) especially with high doses or severe asthma. Use in children/elderly only under medical advice.
