How Salipaint Lotion works

Keratolytic agents (commonly salicylic acid and/or lactic acid in such preparations) soften and break down the keratin in thickened skin. This helps gradual peeling and removal of hardened skin over corns/calluses/warts.

How to take Salipaint Lotion

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area; apply a small amount precisely on the lesion (avoid normal surrounding skin). Allow to dry before covering; use once daily or as directed by a doctor. Wash hands after application.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Salipaint as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Salipaint than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Salipaint Lotion

Most side effects of Salipaint are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• Skin irritation
• burning or stinging
• redness
• peeling
• dryness
• contact dermatitis

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Safety advice for Salipaint Lotion

Warnings and precautions

Avoid application on broken/irritated skin, face, groin, armpits or mucous membranes. Do not use on large areas or for prolonged periods without medical advice. Use caution in diabetes or poor blood circulation (risk of skin injury). Stop and seek medical advice if severe irritation, ulceration, infection, or allergic reaction occurs. Keep away from eyes; rinse with plenty of water if contact occurs. Not recommended for children unless prescribed.

Interactions with other medicines

Using other topical irritants/peeling agents (retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, strong soaps) may increase irritation. Occlusive dressings can increase absorption and irritation.

How to store Salipaint Lotion

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from heat and direct sunlight. Keep the cap tightly closed; keep out of reach of children.
