How Soristop Cream works

Soristop Ointment is a synthetic form of vitamin D belonging to the class of medicines called ‘anti-psoriatics’. It lowers the rate with which skin cells grow, thereby controlling the psoriatic condition.

How to take Soristop Cream

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Soristop Ointment, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Soristop than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Soristop Cream

Most side effects of Soristop are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

How to store Soristop Cream

Store Soristop below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Expert advice for Soristop Cream

Soristop Ointment should be applied as per dose and duration suggested by the doctor. Before each application, wash the affected area with soap and water and dry well. Do not apply to broken, diseased, infected, inflamed or irritated skin, or to open wounds. Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas. Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after 2-4 weeks of treatment. Avoid direct contact with sunlight. Use a sunscreen or wear protective clothing while stepping out.
