Uses of Tapenax ER 50MG

Management of moderate to severe chronic pain where continuous, around-the-clock opioid analgesia is needed (e.g., chronic musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain) when alternative treatments are inadequate.

How it works

Tapentadol is a centrally acting opioid analgesic. It works by activating mu-opioid receptors to reduce pain perception and by inhibiting norepinephrine reuptake, strengthening descending pain inhibition pathways.

Directions for use

Take orally as prescribed, usually every 12 hours for extended-release tablets. Swallow whole with water; do not crush, chew, or break. Can be taken with or without food; take at the same times each day.
