Valentas D 50 mg Tablet is used for heart Failure.
Medically reviewed by Dr. Balaji Krishnan, MBBS · Updated August 2026
Valentas D 50 mg Tablet contains Dapagliflozin (5mg) + Sacubitril (97mg) + Valsartan (103mg).
Heart Failure
Valentas D 200 Tablet works by improving heart function and reducing strain on the heart through multiple mechanisms. Dapagliflozin helps remove excess fluid from the body by increasing urine output, which reduces the workload on the heart. Sacubitril helps increase beneficial substances that relax blood vessels and reduce fluid retention. Valsartan blocks certain receptors that cause blood vessels to narrow, helping them relax and lowering the strain on the heart. Together, these actions help improve blood flow, reduce fluid buildup, and support better heart function.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Valentas D 200 Tablet may be taken with or without food.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Valentas D 200 Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule.
Taking more Valentas D than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Valentas D are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Valentas D. Some combinations can change how Valentas D works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Valentas D below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
Monitor your body weight daily at the same time. A sudden increase (for example, more than 1–2 kg over a few days) may indicate fluid retention and should be reported to your doctor promptly. Check your blood pressure regularly, especially during the initial weeks of treatment or after dose adjustments. If you experience persistent dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting, seek medical advice. Maintain a low-salt diet, as excess sodium can worsen fluid retention and reduce the effectiveness of heart failure treatment. Avoid processed and packaged foods that are high in hidden salt. Inform your doctor immediately if you develop symptoms of dehydration (persistent vomiting, diarrhea, excessive sweating), as a temporary dose adjustment or interruption may be required.
