Composition of Vymada 100 mg Tablet

Vymada 100 mg Tablet contains Sacubitril 49 mg + Valsartan 51 mg (as sacubitril/valsartan) per tablet. It belongs to the ARNI (Angiotensin receptor–neprilysin inhibitor) class of medicines.

Uses of Vymada 100 mg Tablet

Treatment of chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization for heart failure; used in place of an ACE inhibitor or ARB as advised by doctor.

How Vymada 100 mg Tablet works

Sacubitril inhibits neprilysin, increasing levels of beneficial natriuretic peptides that promote vasodilation and sodium excretion. Valsartan blocks angiotensin II (AT1) receptors, reducing vasoconstriction and aldosterone effects. Together they lower cardiac workload and improve heart failure outcomes.

How to take Vymada 100 mg Tablet

Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed, usually twice daily. Can be taken with or without food; take at the same times each day. Do not start within 36 hours of stopping an ACE inhibitor; do not stop or change dose without medical advice.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Vymada as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Vymada than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Vymada 100 mg Tablet

Most side effects of Vymada are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• Low blood pressure (dizziness)
• increased potassium (hyperkalemia)
• kidney function changes
• cough
• diarrhea
• nausea
• fatigue
• headache

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Safety advice for Vymada 100 mg Tablet

Warnings and precautions

Contraindicated with ACE inhibitors (need 36-hour washout) and in history of angioedema related to ACEi/ARB. Do not use with aliskiren in patients with diabetes. Monitor blood pressure, kidney function and serum potassium, especially in elderly, dehydrated patients, and those with renal impairment. Risk of angioedema—seek urgent care for swelling of face/lips/tongue or breathing difficulty. Not recommended in pregnancy; avoid in severe hepatic impairment; caution in renal artery stenosis and volume depletion.

Interactions with other medicines

ACE inhibitors (contraindicated; 36-hour gap required), aliskiren (avoid in diabetes), potassium supplements/salt substitutes and potassium-sparing diuretics (e.g., spironolactone/eplerenone/amiloride) (hyperkalemia risk), NSAIDs (may worsen kidney function), lithium (increased lithium toxicity), other antihypertensives and diuretics (additive hypotension)

How to store Vymada 100 mg Tablet

Store at room temperature (below 30°C), protected from moisture and light. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.
