Zenflox-OZ 50mg/5ml/125mg/5ml Suspension is an antibiotic consisting of ofloxacin and ornidazole as its active ingredients. Both these ingredients tamper the bacteria’s DNA. Thus, it kills the infection-causing bacteria, stopping the infection and the bacteria from growing further without making them resistant to further treatment.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Zenflox-Oz as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Zenflox-Oz than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Diarrhea is a common side effect of Zenflox-OZ 50mg/5ml/125mg/5ml Suspension. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case it develops. Your child may have an altered taste or furry tongue (coating of Zenflox-OZ 50mg/5ml/125mg/5ml Suspension on tongue) after taking the medicine. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Zenflox-OZ 50mg/5ml/125mg/5ml Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions. Quit giving Zenflox-OZ 50mg/5ml/125mg/5ml Suspension and speak to the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing. Only give Zenflox-OZ 50mg/5ml/125mg/5ml Suspension to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses.
