Betahistine is a histamine analogue that improves microcirculation in the inner ear. It is thought to reduce endolymphatic pressure and improve vestibular compensation, thereby decreasing vertigo symptoms.
Take as prescribed by the doctor, usually with or after food to reduce stomach upset. Swallow the tablet with water at the same time each day; do not crush/chew unless advised. Continue regularly; it may take a few weeks for full benefit.

Use with caution in patients with bronchial asthma, peptic ulcer disease/history of ulcers, or low blood pressure. Seek medical advice if allergic symptoms occur. Not recommended for children unless specifically prescribed. If symptoms persist/worsen or hearing changes occur, consult a doctor.
