Betahistine (16mg)
Treatment of vertigo, Ménière’s disease (episodes of dizziness/vertigo), tinnitus and hearing loss associated with inner-ear disorders; symptomatic relief of vestibular vertigo
Betahistine is a histamine analogue that improves microcirculation in the inner ear by vasodilation and reduces endolymphatic pressure. It also modulates vestibular function by acting on histamine receptors in the brainstem, helping reduce frequency and severity of vertigo attacks.
Oral tablet. Typically taken 2–3 times daily with food to reduce stomach upset; swallow with water. Dose and duration should be as advised by the physician; do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer disease (may worsen gastric symptoms), bronchial asthma, or severe hypotension. Inform doctor if you have allergy to betahistine. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist/worsen or if you develop severe rash, swelling, or breathing difficulty. Not for sudden severe vertigo due to stroke—seek urgent care if vertigo is accompanied by weakness, speech trouble, severe headache, or vision changes.
