Uses of ZIFI 50 DT TAB

Bacterial infections such as upper and lower respiratory tract infections (pharyngitis/tonsillitis, bronchitis), ear infections (otitis media), urinary tract infections, and enteric fever (typhoid) as prescribed.

How it works

Cefixime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis (binding to penicillin-binding proteins), leading to cell death. It is effective against susceptible bacteria and will not treat viral infections.

Directions for use

Dispersible tablet: dissolve in a small amount of water and drink immediately (or chew if advised). Take exactly as prescribed, with or without food; taking after food may reduce stomach upset. Complete the full course even if you feel better; do not skip doses.
