Zolmoon-5 mg Tablet contains Zolpidem tartrate 5 mg (tablet). It belongs to the Non-benzodiazepine hypnotic (Z-drug; imidazopyridine) class of medicines.

How Zolmoon-5 mg Tablet works

Warnings and precautions

Prescription-only sleep medicine; may cause next-day impairment—avoid driving/operating machinery. Risk of dependence, tolerance, misuse and withdrawal; use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration. May cause complex sleep behaviors (sleep-walking/driving/eating)—stop and seek medical help if this occurs. Use with caution in elderly, liver impairment, respiratory disease/sleep apnea, depression or history of substance use. Do not abruptly stop after prolonged use. Not recommended in severe hepatic impairment.

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with severe breathing problems, sleep apnoea, or severe liver disease. Not for anyone with a history of dependence, except under specialist supervision.

Interactions with other medicines

Alcohol and other CNS depressants (benzodiazepines, opioids, antihistamines, antipsychotics) increase sedation/respiratory depression; CYP3A4 inhibitors (ketoconazole, clarithromycin, ritonavir) may increase levels; CYP3A4 inducers (rifampicin, carbamazepine, phenytoin) may reduce effect; caution with antidepressants and other sedatives

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
