Composition of Zynac SP Tablet

Zynac SP Tablet contains Aceclofenac (100mg) + Paracetamol (325mg) + Serratiopeptidase (15mg). It belongs to the NSAID (Aceclofenac) + Analgesic/Antipyretic (Paracetamol) + Proteolytic enzyme (Serratiopeptidase) class of medicines.

How Zynac SP Tablet works

Aceclofenac reduces pain and inflammation by inhibiting cyclo‑oxygenase (COX) enzymes and lowering prostaglandin production. Paracetamol provides analgesic and antipyretic action by acting centrally. Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme that helps reduce tissue swelling and inflammation.

How to take Zynac SP Tablet

Tablet for oral use. Take as prescribed by a doctor, preferably after food with water. Do not crush/chew. Avoid taking other paracetamol-containing products simultaneously unless advised.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Zynac SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause stomach bleeding, kidney failure, drowsiness and fits. It can cause severe and sometimes fatal liver damage, often with no symptoms at all for the first day. It can seriously suppress the bone marrow and damage the liver. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Side effects of Zynac SP Tablet

Most side effects of Zynac SP are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• stomach pain/indigestion
• diarrhea
• dizziness
• headache
• heartburn
• rash
• increased liver enzymes

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

Use with caution in patients with stomach/duodenal ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, asthma, kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, hypertension, or bleeding disorders. NSAIDs may increase risk of GI bleeding and cardiovascular events; seek medical help for black stools, vomiting blood, chest pain, or severe breathlessness. Do not exceed recommended dose or duration; overdose of paracetamol can cause severe liver damage. Avoid in known hypersensitivity to NSAIDs/paracetamol/serratiopeptidase.

Do not take Zynac SP if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with an active stomach ulcer, severe kidney or heart failure, or asthma triggered by aspirin or anti-inflammatory painkillers. Not in the third trimester of pregnancy. Not for people with severe liver disease, except under medical supervision. Not for people with an active serious infection, or with severe liver or bone-marrow disease. Several of these medicines must not be used in pregnancy.

Interactions with other medicines

Alcohol, anticoagulants/antiplatelets (warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel), other NSAIDs, corticosteroids, SSRIs/SNRIs, antihypertensives (ACE inhibitors/ARBs, diuretics), lithium, methotrexate, cyclosporine/tacrolimus, digoxin, other paracetamol-containing medicines

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Do not take Zynac SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet with other medicines containing paracetamol (acetaminophen), such as some cold or fever medicines, unless advised by your doctor. Avoid combining Zynac SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet with other NSAID painkillers unless your doctor recommends it. Avoid alcohol while taking Zynac SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet, as it may increase stomach irritation and the risk of liver damage. Zynac SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet may cause dizziness or drowsiness, so avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you. Stay well hydrated while using Zynac SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet, as dehydration may increase the risk of kidney-related side effects. Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, heart disease, asthma, stomach ulcers, or uncontrolled high blood pressure before taking Zynac SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet. Seek urgent medical attention if you notice black stools, vomiting blood, severe stomach pain, or unusual bruising. Stop taking Zynac SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet and seek medical help if you develop rash, swelling of the face, or breathing difficulty. Use Zynac SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet only for the duration prescribed, and consult your doctor if pain, swelling, or fever persists despite treatment. Tell your doctor if you are taking blood thinners, steroids, or certain antidepressants that may increase bleeding risk.
