Zytanix 2.5 Tablet contains Metolazone (2.5mg). It belongs to the Thiazide-like diuretic class of medicines.
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure); may also be used to help reduce fluid retention (edema) as advised by a doctor.
Indapamide is a thiazide-like diuretic. It increases excretion of sodium and water from the kidneys and also relaxes blood vessels, which together lowers blood pressure and reduces fluid overload.
Take by mouth as prescribed, usually once daily in the morning. Can be taken with or without food. Swallow whole with water; avoid taking late in the day to reduce nighttime urination.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Zytanix 2.5 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Taking more Zytanix than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Zytanix are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
