How It Works
Vitamin D3 increases intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate and supports bone mineralization. Calcium replenishes body calcium stores for normal bone and muscle function. Zinc supports immune function and is involved in bone formation and tissue repair.
Directions for Use
Tablet; take as advised by a doctor, usually once daily after food with water. Do not exceed the recommended dose; if also taking other calcium/vitamin D products, inform your physician.
Use with caution in kidney disease, history of kidney stones, hypercalcemia, hypervitaminosis D, sarcoidosis, or severe dehydration. Excess intake may cause high calcium levels (symptoms: weakness, confusion, increased thirst/urination, nausea). If pregnant/breastfeeding or on long-term therapy, consult a doctor. Keep a gap between this and certain antibiotics/thyroid medicines as advised.
Drug Interactions
Levothyroxine (reduced absorption), tetracyclines and fluoroquinolones (chelation; reduced antibiotic absorption), bisphosphonates (reduced absorption), thiazide diuretics (risk of hypercalcemia), digoxin (arrhythmia risk with hypercalcemia), iron supplements (mutual absorption interference), antacids containing aluminum/magnesium (use separation), corticosteroids (reduce vitamin D effect)
