Aspisol 150 Tablet is used for prevention of heart attack and stroke.

Aspisol 150 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: aspirin and glycine. Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with anti-platelet action. It works by preventing platelets from sticking together which decreases the formation of harmful blood clots. Glycine is a natural amino acid which reduces the harmful effects of aspirin by preventing acid build-up and damage to stomach lining.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Aspisol 150 Tablet is to be taken with food.

Seek urgent care for black or tarry stools, blood in the vomit or urine, a severe headache, or bleeding that will not stop. Tell every doctor and dentist treating you that you are on a blood thinner, well before any procedure. Never stop this medicine on your own before surgery or dental work — stopping it carries its own risk, and the decision is your doctor's. Avoid contact sports and take care with razors and sharp tools. Aspirin must not be given to children or teenagers with a fever or a viral illness — it is linked to Reye's syndrome, a rare but serious condition affecting the brain and liver. Low-dose aspirin for the heart is a lifelong treatment. Do not stop it before surgery or dental work without asking the doctor who prescribed it. Tell your doctor before taking a protein supplement if you have kidney disease — the protein load matters. Drink plenty of water while taking a protein supplement. Check the label for milk or soy if you have an allergy or are lactose intolerant.

Anti-inflammatory painkillers, including over-the-counter ones, sharply raise the bleeding risk. Combining two blood thinners multiplies the risk — never add one yourself. Tell your doctor about all herbal products; several affect clotting. No significant medicine interactions are expected for most protein supplements.
