Hypertension (high blood pressure), Chronic stable angina (chest pain due to coronary artery disease), Heart rate control in certain tachyarrhythmias (as advised by doctor), Chronic heart failure (as part of combination therapy, in selected patients)

Bisoprolol is a selective beta-1 adrenergic blocker. It slows the heart rate and reduces the force of heart contraction, lowering blood pressure and myocardial oxygen demand. This helps reduce angina symptoms and improves cardiac workload control.

Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day; may be taken with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Slow heart rate (bradycardia),dizziness,fatigue,headache,low blood pressure,cold hands/feet,nausea,diarrhoea,shortness of breath (rare),sleep disturbances

Do not stop abruptly (may worsen angina/heart rhythm). Use with caution in asthma/COPD, diabetes (may mask hypoglycaemia symptoms), thyroid disorders, peripheral vascular disease, psoriasis, kidney or liver impairment. Contraindicated in severe bradycardia, cardiogenic shock, severe hypotension, untreated heart failure, high-grade AV block unless paced. Monitor blood pressure and pulse regularly; seek medical help for fainting, wheezing, or very slow pulse.

Other antihypertensives (additive hypotension),calcium channel blockers like verapamil/diltiazem (risk of severe bradycardia/AV block),antiarrhythmics (e.g., amiodarone),digoxin (bradycardia),clonidine (rebound hypertension if stopped improperly),NSAIDs (may reduce BP-lowering effect),insulin/oral antidiabetics (masked hypoglycaemia),beta-agonist inhalers (reduced effect),MAO inhibitors (caution)
