This medicine combines 2 active ingredients: Aspirin and Clopidogrel. Aspirin makes your blood less likely to form a clot, which protects the narrowed arteries of the heart and brain. Seek urgent care for black or tarry stools, blood in the vomit or urine, a severe headache, or bleeding that will not stop. Tell every doctor and dentist treating you that you are on a blood thinner, well before any procedure. Never stop this medicine on your own before surgery or dental work — stopping it carries its own risk, and the decision is your doctor's. Avoid contact sports and take care with razors and sharp tools. Aspirin must not be given to children or teenagers with a fever or a viral illness — it is linked to Reye's syndrome, a rare but serious condition affecting the brain and liver. Low-dose aspirin for the heart is a lifelong treatment. Do not stop it before surgery or dental work without asking the doctor who prescribed it.

Anti-inflammatory painkillers, including over-the-counter ones, sharply raise the bleeding risk. Combining two blood thinners multiplies the risk — never add one yourself. Tell your doctor about all herbal products; several affect clotting.
