Prevention and treatment of vitamin C and zinc deficiency; supportive therapy to help immunity and recovery during common cold/flu and other infections; antioxidant supplementation.
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is an antioxidant required for collagen formation, wound healing and immune cell function. Zinc is an essential trace element needed for normal immune response, cell growth and tissue repair.
Take orally as advised by a doctor. Commonly taken once daily after food to reduce stomach upset; swallow tablet/capsule with water. Do not exceed recommended dose.
Nausea, stomach upset, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, heartburn, metallic taste, headache
Use with caution in people with kidney stones/renal impairment (vitamin C may increase risk of oxalate stones at high doses). Long-term/high-dose zinc can cause copper deficiency and anaemia; avoid prolonged use beyond advised. Diabetics should check label for sugar if chewable/syrup. Stop and seek medical help if allergic reaction occurs.
