Centamol 250MG Suspn

Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) 250 mg per 5 ml oral suspension

Fever (including viral fever, post-immunization fever), mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, sore throat, body aches, ear pain, and pain associated with cold/flu

Paracetamol reduces fever and relieves pain by inhibiting prostaglandin production in the central nervous system. It acts on the brain’s heat-regulating center to bring down body temperature.

Oral suspension: Shake well before use. Measure dose with a calibrated spoon/cup/dropper. Can be taken with or without food; if stomach upset occurs, give after food. Dose and frequency should be as advised by the doctor/label; do not exceed the recommended total daily dose and avoid using multiple paracetamol-containing products together.

Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, rash, itching, elevated liver enzymes (with high dose/prolonged use)

Do not exceed recommended dose; overdose can cause severe liver damage. Use with caution in liver disease, chronic alcoholism, severe malnutrition, or dehydration. Seek medical help immediately if overdose is suspected. Stop and consult a doctor if allergic reactions (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty) occur or if fever persists beyond 3 days or pain beyond 5 days (or as advised).

Alcohol, warfarin/other anticoagulants (with prolonged regular use), isoniazid, rifampicin, carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital/primidone, probenecid, cholestyramine

Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep bottle tightly closed. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
