Management of cognitive impairment and memory problems; adjunct in stroke recovery, head injury/traumatic brain injury, and other neurological conditions where neuronal repair/support is required (as prescribed).
Citicoline is a precursor of phosphatidylcholine, a key component of neuronal cell membranes. It supports synthesis of brain phospholipids and may improve neuronal function, neurotransmitter balance and recovery after ischemic or traumatic injury.
Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed by the doctor, preferably at the same time each day; can be taken with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not crush/chew unless advised.
Headache,nausea,diarrhoea,insomnia,dizziness,restlessness
Use under medical supervision in neurological disorders. Use with caution in patients with severe renal/hepatic impairment (limited data). If you develop allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, breathing difficulty) stop and seek medical help. Do not self-medicate for stroke/TBI—urgent medical care is required.
Levodopa (may enhance effects),CNS stimulants (additive restlessness/insomnia possible); inform doctor about all medicines and supplements.
