Corcium XT Tablet

Corcium Xt Tablet contains Ferrous ascorbate (elemental iron) + Folic acid (strengths vary by brand pack) and is used for iron deficiency anemia.

Iron replenishes body iron stores required for hemoglobin formation and oxygen transport. Folic acid supports red blood cell production and helps correct folate deficiency. Ferrous ascorbate improves iron absorption and tolerability in many patients.

Take as directed by the doctor, usually once daily after food to reduce stomach upset unless advised otherwise. Swallow with water; avoid taking with tea/coffee, calcium, or antacids close to the dose. Continue for the prescribed duration to rebuild iron stores.

Nausea, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, dark stools, metallic taste, vomiting

Do not use in iron overload states (hemochromatosis/hemosiderosis) or anemia not due to iron deficiency unless advised. Keep out of reach of children as iron overdose can be dangerous. Use caution in peptic ulcer disease and inflammatory bowel disease.

Antacids, calcium supplements, proton pump inhibitors, tetracyclines/quinolones (reduce absorption), levothyroxine, penicillamine, methyldopa, bisphosphonates

Store below 25-30°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture.
