D-Mannose (strength not specified)
Helps support urinary tract health; used as a nutritional supplement commonly taken to help reduce recurrence of uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) and to ease urinary discomfort (as adjunct support).
D-Mannose is a simple sugar that is absorbed and excreted largely unchanged in urine. It can bind to certain bacteria (commonly E. coli) and may reduce their ability to adhere to the urinary tract lining, supporting their elimination during urination.
Oral powder. Mix the measured serving in water and drink; commonly taken once or twice daily or as directed by a healthcare professional. Can be taken with or without food; ensure adequate water intake.
Bloating, gas, loose stools/diarrhoea, nausea, stomach discomfort
Nutraceutical/food supplement; not a substitute for a balanced diet or for prescribed UTI antibiotics. Seek medical advice if fever, flank/back pain, blood in urine, severe symptoms, pregnancy, recurrent UTIs, kidney disease, or symptoms persist/worsen. Use with caution in diabetes (may affect blood sugar) and in people with kidney problems. Not for intravenous use. Keep out of reach of children.
No well-established major drug interactions; use caution if taking diabetes medicines/insulin due to possible effects on blood glucose; consult doctor if on chronic medicines.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep container tightly closed. Do not use if seal is broken.
