Epivate G Cream

Epivate G Cream contains CLOBETASOL PROPIONATE-0.05%W/W+GENTAMICIN-0.1%W/W and is used for this medicine is used.

This medicine is used in the treatment of eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, skin inflammation and itching, bacterial infection, gut infection, skin infection and dental infection.

This medicine combines 2 active ingredients: Clobetasol Propionate and Gentamicin. Clobetasol Propionate damps down the inflammation in the skin, which relieves redness, swelling and itching. Gentamicin kills or stops the growth of the bacteria causing your infection.

Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer and rub it in gently. Wash your hands before and after use, unless your hands are the area being treated. This is for use on the skin only — do not swallow it. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.

Use it only on the area and for the number of days your doctor specified. Potent steroid creams thin the skin permanently when used for too long. Never use a potent steroid cream on the face, the groin or the underarms unless your doctor has specifically told you to — the skin there is thin and absorbs much more. Do not use it on an infection. A steroid on ringworm, impetigo or herpes makes the infection worse while hiding it. Do not use leftover cream on a new rash, and never pass it to someone else. Stop and see your doctor if the area becomes more painful, weepy or crusted. Finish the whole course even after you feel better. Do not drink any alcohol while taking metronidazole, ornidazole or tinidazole, or for the period after the course that your doctor states — the combination causes severe flushing, vomiting and a racing heart. Report severe or watery loose motions during or after the course rather than treating them yourself. Tetracyclines stain developing teeth and are avoided in young children and in pregnancy. Antibiotics do not work against colds, flu or most sore throats, which are caused by viruses.

No significant interactions are expected from preparations used on the skin. Antacids, iron, zinc and calcium reduce the absorption of tetracyclines — separate them by a couple of hours. Tell your doctor if you take a blood thinner.

Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Close the cap tightly after each use. Keep out of the reach of children.
