Eplinora 50 mg Tablet

Eplinora 50 mg Tablet contains Eplerenone (50mg) and is used for hypertension (high blood pressure). Prescription required.

Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Eplinora 50mg Tablet is a potassium-sparing diuretic. It works by stopping aldosterone (a natural substance) from increasing your blood pressure. It also reduces the fluid around your heart. This helps improve your heart function after a heart attack and can help prevent heart attacks, strokes or heart failure getting worse.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Eplinora 50mg Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Take it in the morning so that passing urine does not disturb your sleep. Your doctor will check your salts and kidney function with blood tests — do not skip them. Report muscle cramps, marked weakness, confusion or an irregular heartbeat; these can be signs your potassium or sodium has fallen. In hot weather or during an illness with vomiting or loose motions, tell your doctor — you may become dehydrated quickly. This water tablet keeps potassium rather than losing it. Do not take potassium supplements or salt substitutes with it unless your doctor has told you to.

Anti-inflammatory painkillers blunt the effect and can strain the kidneys. Lithium and digoxin levels are affected; tell your doctor if you take either. Potassium-sparing types must not be combined with potassium supplements without supervision.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
