This medicine is used in the treatment of cough, chest congestion, common cold symptoms, protein supplementation, nutritional support, recovery and convalescence, vitamin d deficiency, low calcium, osteoporosis, bone health, nutritional deficiency, support during recovery, antioxidant supplementation, digestive problems, loose motions, restoring gut bacteria and stomach protection.

This medicine combines 6 active ingredients: Acetylcysteine, L-arginine, Calcium, Vitamin c, Grape Seed Extract and Lactobacillus. Acetylcysteine loosens and thins the mucus in your airways so a cough clears it more easily, and eases the tightness that comes with congestion. L-arginine supplies protein and amino acids, the building blocks your body uses to repair and maintain muscle and tissue. Calcium helps your gut absorb calcium and keeps the mineral level in your blood and bones where it should be. Vitamin c supplies a nutrient that helps protect body cells from everyday oxidative wear and supports normal immune function. Grape Seed Extract supplies a nutrient that helps protect body cells from everyday oxidative wear and supports normal immune function. Lactobacillus supports the lining and the natural bacteria of the gut, helping digestion settle back to normal.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or break it unless your doctor has told you to. Take it with or after food. Taking it at about the same time each day helps you remember. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.

See a doctor if a cough lasts more than a week, or comes with fever, breathlessness, chest pain or blood in the sputum. Do not give cough and cold preparations to young children except on a doctor's advice. Do not combine two cough preparations — they frequently contain the same ingredients, and the doses add up. Preparations containing codeine can cause dependence and must be used only for the period your doctor specifies. Tell your doctor before taking a protein supplement if you have kidney disease — the protein load matters. Drink plenty of water while taking a protein supplement. Check the label for milk or soy if you have an allergy or are lactose intolerant. Do not take more than your doctor has advised. Vitamin D builds up in the body and too much raises blood calcium, causing thirst, frequent urination, nausea and confusion. High-dose weekly or monthly sachets are prescription strengths — do not repeat one because you missed a week. Tell your doctor if you have had kidney stones or have kidney disease. A supplement supports a normal diet; it does not prevent or treat infection. Zinc on an empty stomach commonly causes nausea — take it with food. Very high doses of vitamin A over a long period can be harmful, particularly in pregnancy. Do not take several products containing the same nutrient at once; the totals add up. Loose motions with high fever, blood in the stool or severe abdominal pain need a doctor, not a home remedy. Oral rehydration salts and fluids matter more than any medicine when you have loose motions — dehydration is the real danger, especially in children and older people. Take a probiotic a couple of hours apart from an antibiotic so the antibiotic does not simply kill it. Do not use an anti-motility medicine such as loperamide if you have a fever or blood in the stool.

Sedating ingredients add to the effect of alcohol and sleeping tablets. Decongestants such as phenylephrine and pseudoephedrine can raise blood pressure — tell your doctor if you are hypertensive. No significant medicine interactions are expected for most protein supplements. Calcium reduces the absorption of thyroid tablets, several antibiotics and iron — separate them by a few hours. Water tablets of the thiazide group raise calcium further when combined. Zinc and other minerals reduce the absorption of some antibiotics — separate them by a few hours. Tell your doctor if you take a blood thinner, as high-dose vitamin E can add to its effect. Antibiotics reduce the effect of probiotics taken at the same time.

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Some probiotic preparations ask to be refrigerated — follow the pack. Keep out of the reach of children.
