Nutritional supplement for prevention and treatment of folate deficiency; supports red blood cell formation and nerve health. Often used in pregnancy planning/early pregnancy and in megaloblastic anemia due to folate deficiency (as advised by doctor).

Folic acid (vitamin B9) is required for DNA synthesis and cell division, which is essential for red blood cell production. Supplementation restores folate levels, helping correct folate-deficiency anemia and supporting fetal neural tube development.

Softgel capsule: take as directed by physician, usually once daily. Swallow whole with water; may be taken with or after food to reduce stomach upset. Do not exceed recommended dose.

Nausea, abdominal discomfort, bloating, loss of appetite, unpleasant taste, diarrhea, headache, rash (rare)

Use with caution if you have vitamin B12 deficiency/pernicious anemia (folate can mask B12 deficiency and worsen nerve damage). Consult doctor if you have seizure disorder, are on long-term medicines, or have severe anemia. Stop and seek medical help if allergic symptoms occur.
