Nutritional supplement used to prevent or treat folate deficiency; supports red blood cell formation and may be used as an adjunct in anemia due to nutritional deficiency (as advised by a doctor).

Folate (vitamin B9) is essential for DNA synthesis and cell division. Supplementation helps restore folate levels, supporting normal red blood cell production and reducing symptoms related to folate deficiency.

Take the softgel capsule by mouth with water, preferably after food, or as directed by your physician. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Nausea, stomach upset, bloating, diarrhea, loss of appetite, headache, rash (rare)

Use with caution in patients with untreated vitamin B12 deficiency/pernicious anemia as folate may mask B12 deficiency and delay diagnosis. Consult a doctor if you have chronic illness, are on long-term medicines, or if symptoms persist. Stop and seek medical help if you develop allergic reactions.

Antiepileptics (phenytoin, phenobarbital, primidone), methotrexate, trimethoprim, sulfasalazine, pyrimethamine, cholestyramine, metformin (may reduce folate levels)
