Tablet; take as directed by physician. Commonly used as 120 mg once daily or 60 mg twice daily. Can be taken with or without food; swallow whole with water. Use regularly for several weeks to assess benefit.
Nausea, stomach upset, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, skin rash, palpitations
Use with caution in bleeding disorders and before surgery/dental procedures (may increase bleeding risk); stop at least 1–2 weeks before planned surgery unless doctor advises otherwise. Use cautiously with epilepsy/seizure disorders. Consult a doctor if you have diabetes, are elderly/frail, or if symptoms persist/worsen. Seek medical help for unusual bleeding/bruising or black stools.
Anticoagulants/antiplatelets (warfarin, heparin, aspirin, clopidogrel), NSAIDs (ibuprofen, diclofenac), SSRIs/SNRIs (increased bleeding risk), anticonvulsants (may affect seizure threshold), antihypertensives (additive BP effect), antidiabetic medicines (may alter glucose control)
