Raised blood ammonia (hyperammonemia) associated with liver diseases such as cirrhosis and hepatic encephalopathy; supportive therapy in fatty liver/hepatitis as advised by doctor

L-ornithine L-aspartate provides substrates for the urea cycle and glutamine synthesis in the liver. It enhances conversion of toxic ammonia into urea and glutamine, thereby lowering blood ammonia and improving symptoms of hepatic encephalopathy.

Take as prescribed by the doctor. Swallow the tablet with water, preferably after food to reduce stomach upset. Do not crush or chew unless advised; maintain regular dosing and do not stop on your own.

Nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, bloating, headache

Use with caution in kidney disease; dose adjustment/monitoring may be needed. Seek medical help if confusion worsens, severe vomiting/diarrhea occurs, or signs of allergy appear. Not a substitute for definitive management of severe hepatic encephalopathy; follow dietary and medical advice. Use in children only if prescribed.

No major clinically significant interactions commonly reported; inform doctor about all medicines. Use caution with other agents affecting kidney function or causing GI upset; monitor if used with lactulose/rifaximin as part of hepatic encephalopathy regimen.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
