Allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny/blocked nose, itchy/watery eyes), allergy-related cough/post-nasal drip; adjunct relief in allergy-triggered wheeze/asthma symptoms as advised by doctor
Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that blocks H1 receptors to reduce sneezing, itching and runny nose. Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks inflammatory leukotrienes, reducing nasal congestion and allergy-related airway inflammation.
Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily (often in the evening). Can be taken with or without food; swallow with water. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Sleepiness/drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, fatigue, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea
May cause drowsiness—avoid driving/alcohol if affected. Use with caution in liver disease. Montelukast has been associated with neuropsychiatric effects (sleep disturbances, agitation, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts); stop and seek medical advice if such symptoms occur. Not for acute asthma attack relief. Use in children only on medical advice and with appropriate strength.
Alcohol/other CNS depressants (increased sedation), strong CYP inducers (e.g., rifampicin, phenytoin, phenobarbital) may reduce montelukast effect, theophylline (minor interaction), other sedating antihistamines
Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
