Omega-3 supplementation, support for heart health, help reduce high triglycerides (as adjunct), support brain and eye health, support joint health/inflammation
Fish oil provides omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) that are incorporated into cell membranes and influence inflammatory mediators. They can reduce hepatic triglyceride synthesis and may have mild antiplatelet and anti-inflammatory effects.
Oral softgel/capsule: take as directed on the label or by a physician, usually 1 capsule once or twice daily with meals to reduce fishy aftertaste and stomach upset. Swallow whole with water; do not chew.
Fishy aftertaste, belching, nausea, indigestion, diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort
Use with caution if you have bleeding disorders, are on blood thinners/antiplatelets, have upcoming surgery, or have fish/seafood allergy. High doses may increase bleeding risk. Consult a doctor if pregnant/breastfeeding, have liver disease, or if triglycerides are very high and you are on lipid-lowering therapy.
