Meaxon Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.<br>Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Meaxon Injection is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.

Treatment and prevention of Vitamin B12 deficiency
Meaxon Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems.
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.
No common side effects seen
Tingling, numbness or burning in the hands and feet should be assessed by a doctor rather than self-treated — a supplement does not address the cause. Folic acid can mask a vitamin B12 deficiency while nerve damage continues, so B12 should be checked before taking folic acid long term. Bright yellow urine after a B-complex dose is expected and harmless.
Long-term metformin, acid-reducing medicines and some anti-epileptics lower B12 or folate levels. Tell your doctor if you take levodopa, as vitamin B6 can reduce its effect.
Store as printed on the carton — some injections need refrigeration and must not be frozen. Keep out of the reach of children.
